Lark: Cover Reveal

*Squeal*! I have been dying to share my beautiful cover! And today's the day!

The last time she checked, Mia Carrington was pretty sure that she was a normal girl with a completely ordinary life.
She goes to high school, has a crush on the gorgeous and mysterious new boy in town, and has strange dreams that she can’t help but feel are real somehow.

Okay, so maybe she’s not all that normal after all.
A freak accident changes Mia’s life forever when she is thrown into another world and left to deal with the revelation that she is the daughter of the King of the Light Elves. Throw in an ominous prophecy predicting that Mia will break a curse unleashing the Dark Elves on the world and well, things don’t look too good.

There is danger lurking at every corner in this strange world and Mia isn’t sure who she can trust…
The only thing she is certain of is that the Dark Elves know about her, and they will stop at nothing until they have her.

A HUGE thank you to Eden Crane for designing the perfect cover for my book baby! She came highly recommended to me by my friend, author Komal Lewis, and now I will be singing her praises to the world as well!

New Job

In February I was offered a position at the local high school working with Seniors who are at risk for not graduating on time. It's only a part time job which I thought was perfect because I'd still have time to write during the day.

Well, it's true, I still have had time to write but it's been at a much slower pace. Which is fine. I had decided this year to focus on balancing things in my life better, and well, not staying up until 3 in the morning writing every night seemed like a pretty good place to start.

And it's been GREAT!

I love working with the students. I was kind of surprised that I love it as much as I do. I always figured I'd be more of an early childhood or elementary kind of person but nope, this is the population I was meant to work with.

Which I guess sort of makes sense--I do WRITE Young Adult stories after all. :)

Here's the thing, most of these students haven't had the best support systems in their lives. Not all of them, but I'd…
