Book Bash 2013

My best friend Elizabeth, our husbands and I road tripped to Orlando for Book Bash! We left super early Friday morning (5am) and checked into The Doubletree by Hilton at Universal Studios Saturday morning at 3am. We were pooped BUT we were way too excited for Book Bash that we still woke up pretty early.
We hit up Starbucks then Books-a-Million before kissing our husbands good-bye and waiting in line with all the other fan-girls.
Autumn Doughton met us there and we had a blast with our Flat Komal Kant (I couldn't go to Book Bash without her!)
It was crazy in there! It was a little overwhelming actually but we made our rounds and didn't get smashed so I consider that a success. (I'm kind of a shrimp so getting smashed is always an unfortunate possibility)
We got our picture taken with the fabulous Katja Millay and I'm LOVING Sea of Tranquility right now.
I came home with lots of swag!

Including these AWESOME shirts that Liz and I found at Books-a-Million that say "Pretty Girls Read Books"
Best part of the day besides meeting all the fabulous authors and readers? When it was my turn to get my books signed by Abbi Glines, she RECOGNIZED me before I even said anything from her book signing I went to last year. She even recalled the conversation we had about my husband's response to the "Find a guy with a truck" in my copy of the indie version of The Vincent Boys (his response was "Did you tell her you already have one?"). While we were in line Liz kept telling me I should ask her if she remembers me because I'm such a huge fan of hers. I kept telling her no that I wasn't going to say anything because I was certain Abbi Glines would never remember little ole me. So it was really awesome that she actually did! Totally made my day and I might have talked about it randomly for the rest of the weekend. :)
I had the best time and I can't wait to go next year (Maybe I'll even have my own table!)

That is really cool Erica - so glad you all had a great time, and willing to share with everyone.
What did 'Hubbies' get up to whilst you girls were having fun - surely after such a long trip they must have found something fun - apart from bubbly wives (which is always a great thing)?

Today only! 80+ giveaways for paperbacks, ebooks, and more!

Hello! Welcome to my page! I'm terrible about updating it but my goal is to do better this year so when Lizzy Ford came up with the Spring into Romance Facebook Hop I jumped right on!  What a fantastic idea, right?! Lots of new authors to meet and prizes to win!  For my giveaway, I decided to giveaway one of my books that is particularly close to my heart,   Pieces of Me Aria Watkins’s life was on the perfect path, or so she thought. She and Sean had big plans for their future together. They were going to go off to college, get married, and have 2.5 kids. But when tragedy strikes, it destroys the heart of Aria and she's afraid she'll never be the same.  Heartbroken and confused, Aria starts college a completely different person. She hardly recognizes the broken girl she's become, but she can't seem to find the strength to put back together the pieces either.  Enter Holden Whitmore.  He's charming, considerate, and he's

The "C" Word

It's probably the scariest word out there. At least I can't really think of a single word that effects me as much as the "C" word does. Just 6 little harmless letters strung together and it leaves me completely breathless. I guess I should probably start at the very beginning. Last August I went in for my normal yearly exam. My midwife Sue asked me how I was feeling and I was literally just complaining like a little whinebag at the time. I told her I had a super bad cough that wasn't going away no matter how many different kind of over the counter cough medicine I had been taking. Nothing was working and sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air. She felt my throat and said I felt "knotty" so she wanted me to get some labwork done. I asked why and she seemed hesitant to tell me. I told her I was just going to go home and google it and jump to the worse-possible-scenario conclusion. So she told me that it could be just a coup

Nightingale: Spellbinding YA book about witches

Today I received an email letting me know that NIGHTINGALE has been included in a  recently published wiki: Spellbinding YA Books About Witches!  If  I'm honest, Nightingale is my favorite out of the books set in the Lark universe so I was very excited to see it getting some love finally! Here's what they said about NIGHTINGALE:  "At #3  is "Nightingale" by Erica Cope. Wren Fairchild has no memory of who she is or how she ended up in a Light Elf kingdom. She eventually meets Greyson St Clair, the Consul to Queen Mia of  Álfheimr . He doesn't trust Wren, but in order to learn more about her true nature, he'll have to help her regain her memories. Together, the pair must travel to the one place that can reveal the truth about the past, unraveling shocking secrets along the way." You can check out the rest of the list here !  You can purchase your own copy of NIGHTINGALE here !
