Today is my 29th birthday. Man, I feel OLD. But more important than my birthday, it's the last day of NaNoWriMo. I haven't posted much this month and I'd like to blame it entirely on the fact that I've been writing day and night all month but that's just not the case--though I did write a lot this month, I also had several (albeit minor) setbacks. Take this week for example, I was on a writing roll Tuesday when my oldest daughter stepped on a piece of a wooden skewer (I guess that's the word? I just called it a giant toothpick) and I had to rush her (+ my two youngest and my two nephews...ages 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2--no joke. That's a baby a year, folks!) to the doctor because I couldn't pull it out myself. It was a pretty good size piece of wood and was so deep in her foot that only about 1/2-1 inch was visible.
