2013--what a year! I know that I documented most of this already but I figured it would be better to have it all in one post so that years down the road when I want to remember the year I became a published author, I can find it easily and reminisce. :)
January: I decided I was going to publish
Lark after working on it for a year
 |
I couldn't believe how thick it was! |
 |
Pretty paperbacks! |

March: I sold over 8K copies of
Lark this month alone! It was insane! I haven't had that sort of success with the other two books (...yet but a girl can hope) so this was a HUGE deal for me!
April: My husband tore his ACL playing in a basketball game for charity which resulted in a surgery and being off work for the next 3 months.
May: Blondie #1 turned 6

I found out that
Lark made Amazon's Top 100 Customer Favorites list! Here is the link:
Top 100 Kids & Teens Kindle Books of 2013 --Lark is on page 2, 11 from the top!
June was the busiest month of the year--but this year as a whole has been one of the busiest of my life! It was filled with many ups and downs that's for sure but I think there was more good than bad.
My goals for the 2014:
1. Start exercising regularly. I can't afford not to now that I'm hypothyroid. I bought Jillian Michael's Yoga Inferno and my husband got me a yoga mat so really I have no excuse not to.
2. Publish
Like the Dawn (Lark #3) and work on getting
Forget Me Not ready for publication.
3. Attend at least 2 book signings--either as an author or a reader--I'm not too picky. ;)
Happy New Year's everyone! I'll probably be passed out before the ball drops but I'll be sure to drink my glass of sparkling grape juice with the Blondies first!
XOXO
